Project ECHO Paediatric Palliative Care

The potential impact of this project is significant. The Project ECHO PPC will develop the first group of clinicians who have enhanced training in pediatric palliative care in Bangladesh. These clinicians will be able to provide an expanded scope of palliative care services for children receiving services from Spoke Facilities and will be equipped to increase awareness about palliative care in the medical profession. These physicians will understand the importance of palliative care and pain relief for children and will be able to advocate for these services to be available for all children in Bangladesh. Additional emphasis of the importance of medical care which reduces suffering and improves the quality of life for children and families will occur among clinicians throughout Dhaka. Spoke Facilities will become a model for PPC in Bangladesh.
