Objectives of the Leadership Initiative

Train nurses working in Palliative Care to become leaders and educators in the field of palliative care nursing.

Understand the principles of adult learning and how to effectively educate adults.

Understand and demonstrate the principles of effective public speaking/communication.

Understand and demonstrate the characteristics of effective lectures, including how to develop a powerpoint presentation.

Understand and demonstrate the use of interactive learning strategies.

Understand and demonstrate the use of role play and its limitations in Palliative Care Education

Understand and demonstrate the use of small group case-based teaching its limitations in Palliative Care Education
